The Red Raiders were up at the half, 49-38. In the second half, Texas Tech outscored Georgia Southern, 54-41 for the 103-79 win.
Each team had five players score in double figures. Texas Tech senior David Tairu led both teams with 22 points. Javarez Willis scored 18 points. Senior John Roberson posted 17 points, and Robert Lewandowski and Jamel Outler each added 12 points.
Ben Drayton led the Eagles in scoring with 21 points. Rory Spencer dropped in 17 points. Eric Ferguson tallied 13 points and teammate Tre Bussey added 10 points. Cameron Baskerville posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
With the win, the Red Raiders up their record to 4-1.
