Texas Tech defeats Texas-Arlington 80-55|

Lubbock, TX - Texas Tech guard Stan Bonewitz scored 21 points as the Red Raiders snapped a two-game losing streak in a 80-55 win over Texas-Arlington at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum Saturday night.
A pair of Bonewitz three-point baskets helped Texas Tech to an 11-point lead with 13:44 to go in the first half. Two more Bonewitz threes within a 30-second span in the second half gave put the Raiders up by 19 and knocked out the Mavericks.
Texas Tech shot 45 percent from three-point range in the game. Rayford Young and James Ware each added two three-pointers to Bonewitzs six for a total of 10 tres for the Raiders on the night.
Young finished the game with 14 points, and Cliff Owens posted his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Bonewitz 21 points tied his season high set one game ago on Tuesday night versus TCU.
Jared Hiple scored 11 for Texas-Arlington. Dewayne Marable and Chad Jones added 10 apiece for the Mavericks.
