Texas Tech Head Coach Bob Knight:
"One of the best things I think we have done so far this season was when we were down 12 in the first half, was to get it back to a point where we have a chance to win."

On the teams improved play in the second half:: "We played very well in the second half. We rebounded better in the second half, we took the ball into positions where we could score with it, all and all it was a good game for us."

On the importance of improving on last years win total of nine: "I've won ten games before"

Minnesota Head Coach Dan Monson:
"When we stay together and when our offense and defense are dictating things, we're fine. Then we go a few minutes without scoring. It just snowballed from there. Against a good shooting basketball team it is embarrassing. It is unacceptable."
