LUBBOCK, Texas - After two wins at home, the Texas Tech men's basketball team goes on the road for games at Texas and at Texas A&M.

Texas Tech plays at Texas on Wednesday evening in Austin with Saturday's game in College Station. Both road games will begin at 8 PM.

Wednesday's game can be seen on ESPNU. Dan McLaughlin will deliver the play-by-play and Tim Welsh will provide the game analysis.

On the radio, Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship station Double T 104.3. The game is also featured on Sirius Radio channel 130.

The Red Raiders and the Longhorns are meeting for the 124th time since the series began on December 15, 1939. Texas holds a 70-53 margin in the series. The Longhorns have a 40-21 edge when the teams have played in Austin and a 7-3 lead on neutral courts.

Texas Tech has a 29-23 advantage when the teams have played in Lubbock.

Last season, Texas won both meetings.

The No. 3 Longhorns are 17-2 for the season and 3-1 in Big 12 play.

Texas is undefeated at home and lost two games last week at Kansas State and at Connecticut.

Damion James leads his team with 17.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Avery Bradley follows with 12.3 points each game. Dexter Pittman adds 12.1 points per outing.

The Longhorns are averaging 85.2 points per game and holding their opponents to 66.1 points per game.

The Red Raiders are 14-5 for the season and 2-3 in conference play.

Last season, Texas Tech won their 14th game on March 11.

Texas Tech downed Iowa State 78-71 last Wednesday and then defeated Oklahoma on Saturday, 75-65.

Junior Mike Singletary had a double-double in each game. Against the Cyclones, Mike had 23 points and 11 rebounds. He grabbed 10 rebounds and scored 24 points against the Sooners as the Red Raiders stormed back from an eleven-point deficit in the second half for the win.

 

 

The Red Raiders are averaging 78 points per outing while opponents are posting 73.1 points per game.

Mike Singletary leads the team with 15.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. John Roberson is scoring 13.8 points per game. David Tairu adds 11.3 points per contest.

The Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena on February 6 in a 12:30 PM match-up with Oklahoma State.
