Lubbock, TX - The Red Raiders host the University of Kansas Jayhawks on Monday night in an ESPN regionally televised contest. Tip-off at the United Spirit Arena is set for 8:00 p.m.

The Raiders are 16 - 9 overall and 6 - 8 in Big 12 Conference action after their 76 - 71 home loss to Texas on Saturday afternoon. Will Chavis led all scorers with 21 points. Andre Emmett added 20 points as Kasib Powell chipped in 11 points and had six assists.

KU is 22 - 6 for the season, 12 - 2 in Big 12 play, and hold down the top spot in the conference.

Monday's game will be regionally televised by ESPN as part of the "Big Monday" package. Dan Shulman will call the play-by-play action and Dick Vitale will provide the analysis of the game.

Jack Dale in his 50th year of broadcasting will handle the play-by-play calls on the All Sports Radio Network. Michael Lewis, former Coach Knight player, will provide courtside analysis.

Texas Tech travels to Baylor for their final conference game of the season on March 8 before beginning conference tournament play.

The first round of the 2003 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament begins on Thursday, March 13 in Dallas at the American Airlines Center.
