IRVING, Texas - Texas Tech junior Jaye Crockett has been selected All-Big 12 honorable mention by the league coaches, announced the Big 12 officials on Sunday.

Crockett, a native of Clovis, N.M., is the first Red Raider to earn postseason honors from the Big 12 since John Roberson and Mike Singletary were named All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2010.

A 6-7 forward, Crockett came off the bench in 25 of 29 games this season. He averaged a team-best 11.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per outing. He finished 17th in the league in scoring and seventh in rebounding. His rebounding averaging is the highest for a Red Raider since Andy Ellis during the 2001-02 season (7.0 rebounds).

Crockett was also one of the nation's elite Sixth Men, ranking third in scoring and first in rebounding among players from the Power Six conferences.

This season, Crockett has led the Red Raiders in scoring 13 times. It is the most since Roberson led the team in scoring 15 times during the 2009-10 season. Crockett has also led the team in rebounding 17 times this season, which is the most since Cliff Owens led the team in rebounding 17 times during the 2000-01 season.

Crockett was named the Big 12 Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 31. He was also named the StatSheet Big 12 Sixth Man of the Week (Jan. 21) and selected to the College Hoops Daily Mid-Season All-Big 12 team.
