Texas Tech's Luke Adams led Team USA to the bronze medal on Saturday at the 22nd Deaflympics.

SOFIA, Bulgaria – Texas Tech’s Luke Adams helped lead Team USA to a bronze medal on Saturday, as the Americans topped Ukraine, 93-69, at Universiade Hall at the 22nd Deaflympics.
It marked the 16th consecutive Deaflympics that Team USA has won a medal in 16 tries. It is the second bronze medal for the Americans, who also won a bronze in the 1953 Deaflympics in Brussels, Belgium.
Lithuania won the gold medal with an 84-63 win over Venezuela.
Adams finished the day with seven points, six rebounds and seven assists. The junior from Big Spring started all seven games for Team USA, averaging 10 points, 3.9 steals, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
Team USA lead just 44-37 with 6:30 to play in the third quarter, but turned on the pressure and extended its lead over Ukraine to 58-49 at the end of the frame. The Americans outscored the Ukrainians, 35-20, in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
