RONALD HOBBS (6-6, 195, G/F, Fort Worth, Texas, Everman High School)

Ranked as the 16th-best player in the state by Texas Hoops...two-time second-team all-district (13-4A) for Everman High School...helped lead bi-district champs and district runners-up to 31-4 record as a junior in 1997-98...averaged 12.2 points and 6.4 rebounds as a junior on senior-laden club...shot 50 percent from the floor, 68 percent from the free throw line in '97-98...started 27 games...missed four contests due to a broken wrist, but is back at full strength for senior year...Everman won first 24 games last season and was ranked No. 1 in 4A for much of the campaign...Everman was ranked as high as 25th in the nation during the year...team is 54-13 over the last two years...Bulldogs were 23-9 in 1996-97, Hobbs' first year on the varsity...averaged 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds for the Bulldogs as a sophomore in 1996-97...coached in high school by James Duncan.
