Red Raiders Play Seawolves on Thursday in Alaska

The Red Raiders take on the Seawolves of Alaska Anchorage on Thursday, November 22 at 8 PM (Central Time). This will be the second appearance for Texas Tech in the eight-team Great Alaska Shootout hosted by Alaska Anchorage.
The Red Raiders and the Seawolves are meeting for the first time since November 23, 1990 when Gerald Myers was the Texas Tech head coach. Overall, Tech was 1-2 in the Shootout. The Raiders lost to Alaska Anchorage (58-70), lost to UC Irvine (81-96), and beat Nevada (81-69).

Texas Tech won their season opener, 68-56, against the University of California Riverside on Saturday, November 10 and then dropped a close 56-54 decision at Sam Houston State on Wednesday. On Saturday, the Red Raiders topped Stephen F. Austin, 60-44 to bring their 2007-2008 record to 2-1. Martin Zeno led all scorers with 23 points. Alan Voskuil added 17 points for the Raiders.
In Anchorage, Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with Corky Oglesby as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network local stations KQBR-FM 99.5 and KKAM-AM 1340. Sirius Radio will carry the game on channel 121.
The Red Raiders will face either the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers or the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Friday in their second of three games in the Shootout.
The Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena when they host the Horned Frogs of TCU on Wednesday, November 28 at 7 PM.
