After being down one point at halftime, Texas Tech's defense came on strong in the second half as the Red Raiders earned their fifth win of the season against the Southeastern Lions, 74-63, in their final home before facing the #4 Pittsburgh Panthers (5-0) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Friday, November 28 at 6:30 PM (Central). The "Legends Classic" game will be televised on HDNet.

Trailing 38-37 at the break, the Red Raiders held the Lions to 25 points in the second half. The Lions were 11-of-33 (.333) in the second half while the Raiders were 12-of-22 (.545) for 37 points.

Sophomore D'walyn Roberts scored 13 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and blocked three shots to spark the Red Raider win. He made 6-of-9 field goal attempts and was 1-of-2 from the free throw line.

John Roberson led both teams scoring with 20 points and five assists. Teammate Alan Voskuil was the third Tech player to register double figures. Alan scored 18 points, pulled down seven rebounds, and had three assists.

The Red Raiders have two games in Newark, New Jersey over the Thanksgiving holidays. Friday's doubleheader features Mississippi State vs. Washington State and #4 Pittsburgh vs. Texas Tech. MSU vs. WSU tips at 4:30 PM (Central) followed by Texas Tech and Pittsburgh at 6:30 PM (Central). On Saturday, Texas Tech will face Mississippi State or Washington State with a tip-off of 4:30 PM or 6:30 PM (Central) - depending on the outcome of Friday's game against Pittsburgh.
