Texas Tech Meets TCU On Wednesday At 7 PM

The Red Raiders host the Horned Frogs of TCU on Wednesday at the United Spirit Arena. The game will tip-off at 7 PM.
The Texas Tech-TCU game will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network with game coverage provided outside the Lubbock area. Dave Shore will call the play-by-play. Andy Hipsher will provide the game analysis.
John Harris will call the courtside action along with Mike Roberts as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM) for the Red Raiders.
Everyone in attendance for the TCU vs. Texas Tech game will receive a complimentary 2005-2006 Men's Basketball Media/Fan Guide. The United Spirit Arena staff will distribute the guides as fans enter the arena.
The Raiders downed the Morehead State Eagles 76-42 on November 23 at the United Spirit Arena for their fourth win of the season.
Twelve Red Raiders saw action against the Eagles. Jarrius Jackson led all scorers with 27 points. Jay was 7-of-14 from the field (including 3-of-7 from beyond the three-point line) and 10-of 10 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 4 steals and had 2 assists. Martin Zeno added 15 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Defensively, Texas Tech had its best game of the game of the young season as they held MSU to 22 points in the first half and 20 points in the second half.
TCU is 1-3 for the season. The Horned Frogs dropped their season opener to Tarleton State 68-59 before defeating Jackson State 76-74. They recently completed two games in the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational. On November 25, the Horned Frogs lost by eight points (66-58) to Oklahoma State. On November 26, TCU lost to Drake 86-79. The Frogs average 68 points per game and have three players scoring in double figures (Nile Murry - 17.8 ppg, Judson Stubbs - 13.5 ppg, and Brent Hackett - 11.0 ppg).
Coach Bob Knight (Ohio State, 1962) enters his fifth season at the helm of the Raider program and has notched four consecutive 20+ wins in Lubbock. In 39 seasons of coaching, he has taken his teams to post-season play 36 times. Coach Knight numbers third among all coaches on the all-time career wins list with 858 victories. He is the youngest of the four coaches (Dean Smith-879, Adolph Rupp-876, Bob Knight-854, and Jim Phelan-830) and the only active coach to reach that remarkable plateau of 800 career victories.
On Saturday, December 3, Texas Tech travels to the west coast for their 9 PM (Central Time) game against the Dons of the University of San Francisco. The Texas Tech Television Network will provide game coverage to the Lubbock area as well as West Texas, the Metroplex, and the Houston areas.
The Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, December 7 in a 7 PM contest against Louisiana Tech.
