Lubbock, TX - The Red Raiders (5-3) host the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (1-4) of Ruston, Louisiana on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 PM (Central) in the United Spirit Arena.

Wednesday's game can be seen on the Texas Tech Television Network (TTTN). KAMC-TV (CBS) will air the game in the Lubbock area. KFWD-TV will carry the game in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Dave Shore will call the play-by-play with John Harris providing the game analysis. The satellite coordinates for the game are: AMC 16 Transponder K 23

Since the 2001-2002 season, the Red Raiders are 46-3 (.939) in non-conference play at the United Spirit Arena under Coach Knight -- 2001-2002 (8-1), 2002-2003 (6-0), 2003-2004 (8-0), 2004-2005 (7-0), 2005-2006 (7-1), 2006-2007 (7-1), and in 2007-2008 (3-0).

Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with Corky Oglesby as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network local stations KQBR-FM 99.5 and KKAM-AM 1340. Sirius Radio will carry the game on channel 161.

This will be the ninth meeting between the two teams. The Red Raiders hold 6-2 margin over the Bulldogs since the series began on December 20, 1939. Texas Tech is 3-1 at home and 3-1 in Ruston against Louisiana Tech.

The Bulldogs are 1-4 for the 2007-2008 season with Kerry Rupp as the new head coach. The Bulldogs downed UL-Lafayette on November 16 by eights points

(64-56) for their first win of the season. They lost at Mississippi State (45-75), at UA-Pine Bluff (54-67), and to SE Missouri (54-59) in their last game on November 28.

Texas Tech's non-conference record stands at 5-3. The Red Raiders have wins over UC Riverside (68-56), Stephen F. Austin (60-44), Alaska Anchorage

(74-47), #14 Gonzaga (73-63), and TCU (71-58). The three losses were at Sam Houston State (54-56), vs. # 22 Butler in the Great Alaska Shootout (71-81), and vs. Centenary (70-66) on December 1.

After Wednesday's game against Louisiana Tech, the Red Raiders have two road contests before returning to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, December 29 for their 7 PM (Central) game against Northwestern State.



Texas Tech travels to Albuquerque for their December 15 game against New Mexico. The 3 PM (Central) game will be televised on Versus. On December 22, the Red Raider face the Stanford Cardinal in the Big 12 / Pac 10 Hardwood Series at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
