Lubbock, Texas - The Red Raiders return to action at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday, December 10 at 1 PM as they host the Broncs of UT - Pan American.

The game will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network with game coverage provided outside the Lubbock area. Dave Shore will call the play-by-play. Andy Hipsher will provide the game analysis.

Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with Mike Roberts as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM).

The Red Raiders are 5-4 for the 2005-2006 season after falling to Louisiana Tech, 68-53, on Wednesday evening at the United Spirit Arena. Junior Jarrius Jackson led the Tech's scoring with 19 points. Martin Zeno added 16 points. Freshman Dior Lowhorn gained his second straight start and had 16 points.

Texas Tech has two players in double figures with Jarrius Jackson averaging 17.8 points per game and Martin Zeno posting 17.0 points per game. After nine games, the Raiders are averaging 71.8 points per game.

Pan American is 2-6 for the season. They won their season opener over Sul Ross, 87-72, before falling at Illinois 71-59. They then lost at Wichita State 97-66 before nipping Texas Southern 60-57. The Broncs then lost their next four games ... 82 -70 to Kent State (11/26/05), at Texas 82-54 ( 11/29/05), 81-68 at home to Air Force (12/03/05), and 101-81 at Texas-San Antonio on December 6.

The Broncs currently have two players averaging double figures (Dexter Shankle 14.6 and Derrick East 10.1). As a team, UT-Pan American is averaging 68.1 points per outing.

On Saturday, December 17, Texas Tech will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to play the Runnin' Rebels of UNLV in a 9 PM (Central Time) game on ESPN. Catch the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Dallas as they host the Arkansas Razorbacks in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Red Raider Christmas Classic on Wednesday, December 21, at the American Airlines Center. Tip-off will be at 9 PM.

Coach Bob Knight (Ohio State, 1962) enters his fifth season at the helm of the Raider program and has notched four consecutive 20+ wins in Lubbock. In 39 seasons of coaching, he has taken his teams to post-season play 36 times. Coach Knight numbers third among all coaches on the all-time career wins list with 859 victories. He is the youngest of the four coaches (Dean Smith-879, Adolph Rupp-876, Bob Knight-854, and Jim Phelan-830) and the only active coach to reach that remarkable plateau of 800 career victories.
