Lubbock, TX - The Red Raiders (6-5) play their last game in 2007 on December 29, as they host the Demons of Northwestern State (4-8) at 1 PM at the United Spirit Arena.

Saturday's game can be seen on the Texas Tech Television Network (TTTN). Dave Shore will call the play-by-play. John Harris will provide the game analysis. The satellite coordinates for game are AMC 16 Transponder K22.

Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with Corky Oglesby as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network local stations KQBR-FM 99.5 and KKAM-AM 1340. Sirius Radio will carry the game on channel 127.

The Red Raiders (6-5) and the Demons (4-8) from Natchitoches, Louisiana are meeting for the first time. Texas Tech won their last home game 86-31 on December 5 against Louisiana Tech and then lost a game at New Mexico, 80-63, and a game against Stanford in Dallas, 62-61.

Hosting Stanford at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas Tech held a seven point lead at halftime, 33-26. In the second half, the squads were tied three times and the lead changed five times. Stanford's Brook Lopez scored 17 points in the second half to erase Tech's first half lead. Anthony Goods and Robin Lopez each added 10 points for Stanford. Red Raider Martin Zeno led Texas Tech with 14 points. Alan Voskuil added 13 points for Tech.

After dropping their first four games of the season, Northwestern State (4-8) has split their last eight games with wins over the University of the Ozarks, Houston Baptist, Tennessee Tech, and Southern-New Orleans. Their last four losses were at the hands of Centenary, LSU-Shreveport, at LSU, and at Arkansas.

NWSU's Trey Gilder leads his team with 16.5 points per page. He has two 30+ point performances in his last seven games while the Red Raiders have three players averaging double-figures for the season: Martin Zeno (14.9), Alan Voskuil (12.7), and John Roberson (10.3).



Texas Tech basketball has three home games at the United Spirit Arena during the holiday season. After their December 29 game against NWSU, the Red Raiders host the Lamar Cardinals on New Year's Day in a 6 PM tip-off. The UTEP Miners will be final non-conference opponent for the Red Raiders in the 2007-2008 season on January 5 at 1 PM.
