Texas Tech 63, Arkansas State 25 October 14, at Lubbock Attendance: 37,521 The No. 25-ranked Red Raiders exploded for their highest point total in a decade in crushing Arkansas State 63-25 in a non-conference game. Tech rolled up five unanswered touchdowns beginning in the second quarter to post its seventh consecutive home victory. The big gun was Byron Hanspard, who rushed for 180 yards and scored four touchdowns. Dane Johnson had a hand in three touchdowns. He returned an interception 66 yards before lateralling to Allen Wallace, who ran the last 10 yards for the TD. He set up two other scores with a 52-yard kickoff return and a 31-yard punt return.
