Tony Darden's interception in the first quarter was his second career interception. His first pick off came against Oklahoma State at Texas Stadium in Irving.

Robert Johnson's third quarter interception was his first this season and eighth as a Red Raider . . . Johnson's fumble recovery, also in the third quarter, was his second of the season . . .Johnson's second interception in the fourth quarter marked the first time in his career that he had two pick offs in one game.
Kyle Allamon's touchdown in the third quarter was his first reception and touchdown as a Red Raider.
Darwin Brown's pick-off to end the third quarter was his first career interception . . . Duane Price had his first career interception and touchdown early in the fourth quarter . . . it was the first interception returned for a touchdown since Dane Johnson accomplished the feat at New Mexico last season . . . Texas Tech's five interceptions are the second most in school history . . . Utah State Notes
Utah State linebacker David Gills's consecutive games started streak ends at 28 due to a broken right thumb sustained against Oklahoma State last week.
Abu Wilson became Utah State's all-time leading rusher after a 10 yard carry late in the third quarter. He finished the game with 104 yards which brought his carrier total to 3,590.
Byron Hanspard Notes
Byron Hanspard surpassed James Hadnot on Texas Tech's all time rushing list. Hanspard's career yards of 2,960 make him the third leading rusher in Red Raider history.
Hanspard had 77 yards rushing in the first quarter. That brings his average rushing mark to 92.3 yards in the first quarter action . . . Hanspard finished the game with 224 yards on 22 carries. It is his fourth highest single game total of his career.
Hanspard surpassed the 100 yard mark in the second quarter. It marks the tenth consecutive game that he rushed for over 100 yards . . . Hanspard surpassed the 200 mark in the fourth quarter. He has rushed for over 200 yards in five of the last six games.
Hanspard is now fourth on the Texas Tech list in all purpose yards with 3,718. He surpassed Tyrone Thurman who had 3,492 . . . Hanspard also passed Donny Anderson for third place on the Tech list for career tandem yards . . . He also moves into a tie with Larry Isaac for fourth on the career touchdowns list with 31.
