Final Facts From The Field.....

*The victory extended Tech's win streak at Jones Stadium to 11 games, the most consecutive wins at home since 1960. The last time the Raiders lost at home was in 1994 versus eventual-national champion Nebraska. Tech's next home game is scheduled for Oct. 19 against the Cornhuskers.

*Lethridge and Hanspard accounted for 546 of the Raiders' 624 yards of offense.

*Tech fullback Sammy Morris had 98 yards rushing on seven carries, a 14-yard-per-carry average. He also scored two touchdowns.

*Baylor starting quarterback Jeff Watson suffered a back injury early in the first half and left the game. Watson had completed four of nine passes for 37 yards. Backup Jermaine Alfred completed 14 of 27 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown in relief of Watson. Alfred also rushed for a score.

*Tech punter Jeremy Hernandez continued to put up big numbers, punting four times for a 53.3-yard average.

*One area the Raiders did not click in was penalties. Tech players were flagged 17 times for 147 yards and one Tech player was ejected for the game after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

*Baylor's Kalief Muhammad, a multi-purpose player who plays both running back and wide receiver, was mostly held in check by the Raiders after scoring two touchdowns last week against Oregon State, one on a 100-yard kickoff return. He carried two times for 11 yards, had five catches for 37 yards, returned one kick for 11 yards and two punts for 21 yards, a total of 80 all-purpose yards.
