Coaches Review The Battle . . .
Texas Tech Coach Spike Dykes "It's big right now, but I don't know what it means for next week. If we lose this week, that could mean three losses in a row." (ON KANSAS): "They are well-coached and are a classy team. It's nice to beat a team like this." (ON THE DEFENSE IN THE SECOND HALF): "We made some good plays, the difference was we made some third-down conversions. We made some turnovers, and that was the difference. You have go to get some turnovers to win. Henley is a great back and you've go to give our defense a lot of credit." (ON THE MOOD OF TECH AT HALFTIME): "When we went in the locker room, our heads were down. Some guys came forward and got their heads up. Our coaches did a great job by making some adjustments." Kansas Coach Glen Mason(ON THE GAME): "I think the defense played better than the score indicated. The story of the game, besides the turnovers late in the game, is that we had the ball inside the 10-yard line twice and only came away with three points. (ON COLORADO): "I'm not worried about Colorado. (Coach Rick) Neuheisel is worried about that. I am worried about my team and I feel that we can play a lot better than we did today. " (THE RUNNING GAME): "That old adage is true, you have to control the line of scrimmage and we didn't do that. It comes down to line blocking." (MORE ON THE RUNNING GAME): "There will be some changes in the running game. I don't know what they are yet, and I don't know if they will work. But there will be some changes."
