* The loss marked the third time the Aggies have lost at home this season and the first time since 1984 they have lost back-to-back games at Kyle Field. Entering this year, the Aggies had lost only one game at Kyle Field since 1990.

* Byron Hanspard entered the game as the nation's second-leading rusher. The nation's leading rusher, Iowa State's Troy Davis, gained only 128 yards against the Aggies.

* Tech's 13 points were the fewest scored in a victory since the Raiders defeated the Rice Owls 10-3 in 1980.
