Jeff Jones enters his 19th season with the Texas Tech football program in 2014 and his 10th as Manager of the Football Training Facility.
He handles a variety of duties in the football complex, including the oversight of the work on the football training facility and the practice fields. He is responsible for managing repairs and ordering supplies to keep the building running.
Jones also helps with the communication for the football coaching staff on game day.
Jones started working with Tech football in 1996 as a student manager for the Red Raiders and also assisted with the baseball program. He was an assistant football equipment manager in 2003 and then served a year as the head football equipment manager in 2004. He was named to his current position in 2005.
Jones earned a degree from Texas Tech in exercise and sport science in 2003.
He is a high school graduate of New Deal High School and resides in Lubbock.
