Kenny Bell is entering his second season as the Chief of Staff of the Texas Tech football program.
Following the footsteps of Head Football Coach Kliff Kingsbury, he joined the Red Raiders after only one season at Texas A&M University. Prior to A&M, Bell worked at the University of Houston for three seasons.
Bell oversees the non-coaching activities of the Texas Tech football program. This includes departmental budget, personnel and staffing, recruiting, academics, team travel, summer camps and all other day-to-day operations. Bell serves as the football program's liaison to the University Administration and all other units within the Texas Tech Athletics Department.
During his one season with the Aggies, Bell served as the Director of Recruiting. In that role, he was responsible for the day-to-day recruiting operations. This included organizing all official and unofficial visits to campus, developing seasonal recruiting campaigns and coordinating coaches' recruiting activities. Bell also assisted with organization of team travel and oversaw their annual summer camps. The Aggies finished the 2012 season 11-2 and defeated Oklahoma in the AT&T Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium.
In 2011, Bell served as the Offensive Quality Control at Houston. In addition to finishing the year 13-1, the Cougars led the NCAA in passing offense, total offense and scoring offense. Bell's responsibilities included opponent film breakdown, preparing scouting reports and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Houston football program. Prior to the 2011 season, Bell served as an operations assistant where he monitored the football budget and assisted with team travel.
Bell graduated from the University of Houston Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in May 2011. A native of Houston, Bell is married to the former Candace Gaspard.
