Ty Linder begins his fourth season on the Texas Tech Football staff and his second as the offensive graduate assistant.

Linder's primary responsibilities are tight ends and special teams.

Linder's work with Texas Tech's special team units in 2010 evident as the Red Raiders improved in virtually every category. He tutored Eric Stephens who became the school's career leader in kick returns and kick return yardage, surpassing Tech legend Donny Anderson. With a greater focus being played on tight ends in the Tech offense, Linder's coaching duties will also increase beginning this season.

Linder is a former Red Raider himself, having joined the program in 2003 out of Westlake High School in Austin. He lettered for the Red Raiders in 2006 and 2007 at outside Linebacker and was part of four bowl teams.

He earned his business degree from Texas Tech in 2088. He is married to the former Kelly Kyger.
