1998-99: Sat out the entire season due to NCAA eligibility suspension ... named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall semester ... earned the team's Clint Ramsey Academic Effort Award following the season.

1997-98: Missed the 1997 season due to academics ... enrolled in January and participated in spring drills ... rushed twice for 22 yards and one TD in the annual Red-Black spring football game.

1996-97: Saw action in first eight games of the season ... rushed 29 times for 226 yards and four TDs ... caught 13 passes for 221 yards and two TDs ... earned starting berth against Georgia and Texas A&M ... caught dramatic game-winning 81-yard touchdown pass from Zebbie Lethridge to give Texas Tech a 13-10 win at Kyle Field ... best rushing effort was a seven carry, 98-yard effort in win over Baylor ... scored two TDs against the Bears ... was suspended from Texas Tech for academic reasons the week following the A&M contest.

High School: A 1995 graduate of San Antonio John Jay High School ... listed as one of the top 100 prospects in the state by the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and San Antonio Express-News ... San Antonio Offensive Player of the Year by the Express-News ... District 28-5A MVP ... moved to quarterback as a senior but natural position was running back ... accounted for 29 touchdowns ... rushed for 1,539 yards on 238 carries (6.5 avg.) and 17 touchdowns ... completed 68-of-180 passes for 1,176 yards and 12 TDs ... best game was 398 yards in total offensive vs. San Antonio Taft (263 rushing and 131 passing) ... team went 7-2-1 as a senior and 14-5-1 in two-year career ... all-district running back as a junior ... centerfielder in baseball and ran on district champion 1,600-meter relay team ... coached by Larry Pullin.
