Head Coach Mike Leach
On if it was TCU playing better or Tech playing worse...
TCU deserves some credit and I'll be nice and politically correct about that, but you know what, that was the sorriest offensive effort I have ever seen. Today I coached the worst offense in America, which would make me the worst offensive coach in America. TCU deserves credit and they played hard. The truth of the matter is I think both offenses were scared to play today and then TCU came out of it.

On Tech not being able to handle the blitz...
We're not tough enough. We're not a tough enough team. You talk about picking up blitzes. There's nothing special about their blitzes. They blitz just like everybody else. We're just not very tough.

On Tech's QB not being able to find receivers...
We're not very tough. Virtually every person that plays offense for Texas Tech University, including the coaching staff and everyone down to the worst player on offense is not very tough."

TCU Head Coach Gary Patterson
Thoughts on the 12-3 victory over Texas Tech ...
"A lot of you guys sitting in this room said we couldn't do it."

The key for TCU in winning the game ...
"Our kids played hard. People have been underestimating our kids for years. A lot of people asked us how we were going to stop Texas Tech's offense. You just saw it. We had a lot of speed."

On the turnaround for TCU from the last meeting with Texas Tech ...
"We gave up 70 points two years ago. That's why we have bracelets on our arms that say, `Make It Personal.' We were ready for this one for a long time. Our offense needs to get better, though. We made the play on special teams with the block punt. It was the difference in field position."

On Texas Tech ...
"I have a lot of respect for (head coach) Mike Leach and his staff. We kicked off at 4:30 p.m. in Texas. I will take that any day, because our guys didn't cramp up and Tech's did. You have to give credit to Texas Tech. They are a very good team."

On shortening the game ...
"I think we played not to lose. We were pretty aggressive defensively and I believe we did well. A lot of people thought we should have gone for the touchdown at the end, but I wanted to be up by two scores."

On the TCU offense ...
"You have to give our offense some of the credit. They didn't turn the ball over."

Linebacker Robert Henson
On the game...
"Texas Tech is a good program. They came out throwing the ball, and their receivers made some good catches. Our mentality was that we were underdogs, and we always take that personally. I'd like to tip my cap to our leadership council, which is our captains from each unit. They've really helped us younger players."

Kicker Chris Manfredini
On TCU kicking the field goal to go ahead 12-3...
"It's the coach's decision. I'm ready for anything, and I would love to put up seven points, but kicking the field goal was the best decision."

Defensive End Tommy Blake
On what he brought to tonight's game from the game in 2004
"Just to come to play. Don't take teams for granted and make sure you study and know your opponents."
