Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach
On Scoring
"I wondered there for awhile (if we were going to score). Defensively, we did really well and the specical teams really raised up. From top to bottom, I thought we played a good game. It was a great team win, once we got on track, the offensive did well."

"You just have to be patient until things start going your way, which they did this time. Ultimately, the credit goes to our defense for being able to stop them. You have to give the Baylor defense credit."

On Baylor
"Baylor plays as hard as any in the conference and Bill Bradley(Baylor Defensive Coordinator) coaches a hard defense. Games are tough and it's hard to beat anybody, especially in this conference."

On the play of Taurean Henderson, Texas Tech Running Back
"Taurean really played well. He was very steady. The offensive line deserves some credit also. It's impossible to congratualte Taurean without saying something about the offensive line."

Texas Tech quarterback Cody Hodges
On personal play :

"This is probably my worst game ever; but, I have to give a hats-off to the defense and special teams, they kept us in the game. I knew that eventually we would we would get it going. We were almost there the first half but I threw some bad balls and we had some bad penalties. We needed a big play to get us going. We really stuck together and got a good team win. I've got to be a smarter quarterback and move the ball up the feild."

On Taurean Henderson
"Taurean can make big plays. When we are struggling, I can just hand it off to him and he can make something happen."

Texas Tech running back Taurean Henderson
On playing in his hometown:

"It's fun to play here and to bring back a win for Tech. I was born and raised here. My family was here and I was glad they could make it out today. It's good to play in front of your family and friends and to come to your hometownand get a win."

"You can never be nervous. You have to stay positive and always believe. That's kind of our motto, we belive in ourselves and we believed in our defense today."

Baylor head coach Guy Morriss
On Baylor's defensive performance:

"Thats probably as good as anyone has played [Texas Tech] this year." "It kind of hurts me to give up 28 points when the defense played so well."

On going for the touchdown on fourth down and taking away the field goal:
"I took that off because we were two and a half yards away from seven... I was trying to get them cranked up, anything to get them going. I'm not so sure three points would have helped us there."

On Baylor's offense:
"We couldn't get anything going. You better play with some passion when you step on that field in this league. It has got to come from inside. We got to go back and find it."

On bowl game eligibility:
"We're running out of games and we're running out of time. We better go back and rekindle the fire."

Baylor LB Colin Allred
On the defense's performance:

"We were frustrated on defense. Sometimes, if the offense isn't producing, the defense needs to step up and score. We couldn't do that this game and that's what made it so frustrating."

On bowl hopes:
"We need to stick together and not get down on ourselves. We have three more games and think we can do it."

Baylor DL Marcus Foreman
On today's game:

"Coming into the game, we knew it was going to be tough. We held them to 6-0 coming into the fourth quarter. I think we did well on defense; bu,t we got tired and that's why they got away with some touchdowns."

Baylor CB Anthony Arline On today's game:
"Any loss is hard, but when you play your heart out that's a good feeling."

On the defense's performance:
"I was proud of everyone on defense. We played with a lot of heart and intensisty. It just hurts to play that hard and go down like we did in the fourth quarter."
