SMITH FINISHES WITH CAREER-HIGH 16 TACKLES - MOST BY A RED RAIDER SINCE 2005 Texas Tech senior linebacker Will Smith led all players in the game with a career-high 16 tackles (13 solo), marking the most tackles in a game by a Red Raider since Dwayne Slay recorded 18 tackles at Baylor on Oct. 29, 2005.

AMARO MOVES UP SINGLE-SEASON RECORD BOOK LIST Texas Tech junior tight end Amaro made four receptions for 55 yards with a pair of touchdowns against the Bears.
Amaro moved up to No. 6 all-time at Tech for single-season receptions (92)... He is now tied with Darrin Moore (2012) and Ricky Williams (2001).
Amaro caught multiple touchdowns for the second time this season (West Virginia) and for the third time during his Tech career.
Amaro now has 1,157 receiving yards - giving him the most by a Red Raider receiver in a season since 2008 (Michael Crabtree, 1,165).

Texas Tech senior receiver Eric Ward had seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown against the Bears.
Ward's touchdown reception moved him into third place all-time at Texas Tech for career touchdown receptions (31) moving past Jarrett Hicks (30, 2003-06).
Ward moved into third place all-time at Texas Tech with 244 career receptions moving him past Detron Lewis (238, 2007-10)... Ward's 244 receptions rank third in school history and are the second most ever by a Tech receiver (Wes Welker, 259, 2000-03).
Ward now has 2,732 career receiving yards moving past Joel Filani (2,667, 2003-06), Nehemiah Glover (2,725, 2001-04) and Detron Lewis (2,729, 2007-10) into sixth place on Tech's all-time career list for receiving yards.

Amaro scored the first touchdown of the game when he hauled in a 6-yard pass from running back Kenny Williams. The TD reception was his fifth of the season and his first since the Oklahoma State game on Nov. 2. The touchdown pass for Williams was his second of the season and his first since the Oklahoma game on Oct. 26.
Williams now has two touchdown passes this season, which marks the most for a non-Tech QB since Detron Lewis threw three TD passes in 2010.
Amaro hauled in his second touchdown catch on Tech's second drive of the game. The touchdown reception was a 20-yard pass from Baker Mayfield... That gave Amaro six touchdown catches this season and 12 for his career.
Ward gave Tech a 20-7 lead when he hauled in a 5-yard touchdown with 3:25 to go in the first quarter. The TD was his eighth of the season and moved him past Jarrett Hicks (2003-06) into third place on the school's career receiving TDs list.
Junior receiver Bradley Marquez has caught at least one pass in 27-of-29 career games.
The forced fumble by Sam Eguavoen late in the first half that led to the recovery by Terrence Bullitt was his first forced fumble of the season.
Sophomore Jakeem Grant cut the Baylor lead to 28-27 with a three-yard TD reception from Baker Mayfield with 4:28 to go in the second quarter. The TD followed the fumble recovery by Terrance Bullitt.
Redshirt freshman Reginald Davis hauled in a 19-yard TD catch from Baker Mayfield with 2:45 remaining in the third quarter to cut the Baylor lead to 49-34. The touchdown was the third of the season for Davis.
Freshman quarterback Baker Mayfield threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game to Reginald Davis with 2:45 to go in the third quarter. That TD pass tied his season/career high that he set in the season opener against SMU.
Mayfield threw for 314 yards on 28-of-51 passing, which gave him his fourth 300-yard passing performance of the season.
Mayfield finished with multiple touchdown passes for the third time this season.
Freshman defensive back Keenon Ward made a career-high seven tackles... His previous career-high was five tackles at Kansas.

Texas Tech scored a touchdown on its opening drive for the first time since the TCU game on Sept. 12. The 15-play drive was longest (by plays) for Tech on an opening drive since a 16-play opening drive at Texas in 2011 that resulted in a field goal.
Texas Tech's opening score extended the Red Raiders' school record consecutive game scoring streak to 205 games. Of those 205 games, Texas Tech has scored in double digits 191 times.
Texas Tech scored a touchdown on its first three offensive drives of the game marking the first time the Red Raiders have done that in a Big 12 Conference game since facing these same Baylor Bears here at AT&T Stadium last season.
Texas Tech gave up a 58-yard punt return for touchdown cutting the Tech lead to 20-14 with 1:39 to go in the first quarter. The last time Tech gave up a punt return for a TD was against Texas in 2009 when Jordan Shipley ran one back 46 yards.
