For the 18th consecutive year, the Red Raiders are bowl eligible and now have the chance to move up in the pecking order next week against Houston. Texas Tech is 6-5 on the season and ran its Big 12 record of consecutive bowl eligible seasons to 18 with today's 64-21 win over Weber State. Only three teams have longer active bowl eligibility streaks than Texas Tech (Florida State leads the nation with 34 straight years while Florida is second with 30. Ohio State is third with 22 and Texas Tech is tied with Virginia Tech with 18.) Texas Tech faces Houston next Saturday night with a 7 p.m. kickoff on FSN (national broadcast).

Marked the largest halftime lead for Texas Tech since leading Indiana State 52-0 on Sept. 25, 2005 at Jones AT&T Stadium... it is also the most points scored by Texas Tech in a first half since scoring 52 points against Indiana State in 2005.
• Texas Tech's 64 points scored in today's game ranks tied for ninth all-time in school history. Tech last scored 64 points against Austin College in 1932.

Potts' third touchdown pass of the game led to the following:
• his 27th touchdown pass this season - 54th career
• moves into 8th place on single-season TD passing list
• became the fourth quarterback in Texas Tech history with 7,000 career passing yards
• seventh multiple passing touchdowns performance this season - 13th career.
• fourth 300-yard passing game this season - 11th career
• 272 yards passing (21-for-24) in the first half is the most since throwing for 306 (25-for-32) during the first half against Baylor.

• Senior running back Baron Batch put Texas Tech on the scoreboard to the start the game (12:48 mark of first quarter) when he hauled in a four-yard touchdown pass from Taylor Potts. It marked his second receiving touchdown of the season and the fourth of his career. Added his second touchdown of the half with 13:46 remaining in the half when he scored on a six-yard TD rush that gave Tech a 30-0 lead. Batch now has four game in his career in which he has caught a TD pass and rushed for TD.
• Texas Tech has now scored on its first offensive possesion in back-to-back weeks as Tech scored its only touchdown last week against Oklahoma on its opening drive.
• Senior quarterback Taylor Potts rushed (two yards) for Texas Tech's second touchdown of the game and gave the Red Raiders a 14-0 lead with 7:10 remaining in the first quarter.
• Senior defensive end Brian Duncan recovered his first career fumble in the first quarter. The fumble ended Weber State's third offensive drive of the afternoon.
• Senior receiver Lyle Leong hauled in a seven yard touchdown pass that gave Tech a 21-0 lead. The TD reception was his 16th of the season and the 29th of his career.
• Sophomore Austin Zouzalik with 100 yards set a career high for receiving yards on six catches.
Matt Williams 41-yard field goal with 1:24 remaining in the third quarter marked his third 40-plus yard field goal of the season.
