Recruiting Review Scheduled for Houston, Dallas|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Tommy Tuberville will make his first public speaking appearances as head coach of the Red Raider football team in Houston and Dallas on Feb. 4 as part of Texas Tech's annual recruiting roundup, sponsored by the Red Raider Club. Tuberville will address a lunch crowd in Houston and speak at a dinner in Dallas, covering the Feb. 3 national signing day class.
Tuberville was named the 14th head coach in Texas Tech football history Jan. 10 and brings to the program an impressive resume of success with previous head coaching stops at Mississippi and Auburn. He holds a 110-60 career record, including an 85-40 mark at Auburn, where he coached for 10 seasons. Tuberville led the Tigers to a 13-0 season in 2004 and Sugar Bowl Championship. Additionally, he earned numerous national coach of the year awards.
The Houston luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. in the 1994 & 1995 rooms at the Toyota Center (1510 Polk St., 713-758-7200). The buffet begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the program at noon. Tickets for the Houston luncheon are $1,500 for a seat at the Head Coach's table; $1,000 for the Athletic Director's table; $1,000 for the Offensive Coordinator's table; $1,000 for the defensive coordinator's table; $600 for an Assistant Coach's table; and $350 for a reserved table. Single tickets are $40.
The Hilton Anatole (2201 Stemmons Fwy., 214-748-1200) will host the Dallas dinner with cocktails beginning at 6 p.m. and the dinner and program following an hour later. Tickets for the Dallas event are $2,500 for a seat at the Head Coach's table; $1,500 for the Athletic Director's table; $1,500 for the Offensive Coordinator's table; $1,500 for the defensive coordinator's table; $1,000 for an Assistant Coach's table; and $800 for a reserved table. Single tickets are $50.
