The triumphant return of Texas Tech's native son Kliff Kingsbury and an exciting Big 12 home schedule that features the last two defending conference champions Kansas State and Oklahoma State, are just two reasons to renew or purchase 2013 season football tickets.
"Excitement for Texas Tech Football has never been stronger," Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. "With a new video board that will be the eighth largest in college football, a new sound system and the leadership of Coach Kingsbury, the 2013 season promises to be exciting."
Season ticket prices will remain the same in all but one section of the stadium while prices were reduced in 10 sections for the 2013 season. In addition, over 1,000 additional seats were created in the lowest price point of $149.
For the first time ever, Red Raiders fans will be able to take advantage of an eight-month payment plan (or pay in full) if tickets are renewed or purchased by Jan. 31. Fans that choose the eight-month payment plan will submit the first payment on Jan. 31 and the final on Aug. 15. Season tickets can be renewed instantly online at texastech.com/renew. Season tickets can also be renewed/purchased via phone by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (806) 742-4412, by mail or in person inside the West Stadium Building at Jones AT&T Stadium.
"I have a lot of great memories playing at Jones AT&T Stadium, and I am excited to make more memories as head coach," said Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury. "Texas Tech fans are very passionate and energetic and that leads to an incredible game day atmosphere. I'm looking forward to a lot of great moments and exciting wins at Jones AT&T Stadium and am thankful for the support of Red Raider fans."
Texas Tech's 2013 home schedule begins with Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, Sept. 7 and will mark the first home game of the Kingsbury Era. The remainder of the 2013 home schedule includes dates against TCU (Sept. 14), Texas State (Sept. 21), Iowa State (Oct. 12), Oklahoma State (Nov. 2) and Kansas State (Nov. 9).
Another exciting reason to invest in football season tickets is the ability to be part of an enhanced gameday experience in 2013 as Texas Tech unveils a new HD video screen (which will span 38 feet high and 100 feet wide), ribbon boards and sound system. Construction crews began work in December and the new gameday enhancements will debut in the home opener against SFA.
In an effort to provide Red Raider fans with the best possible views of the new video board, fans from visiting teams will be moved further from the field to sections 113-115.
Season parking at Raider Park, the United Spirit Arena and within the donor-parking program are now on sale. All of these items can be added to the customer's payment plan to allow fans a complete game day purchase via the athletics ticket office. Additional information regarding donor and fan parking is available here or through the athletics ticket office.
