LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's second scrimmage and 10th team practice of the spring season is in the books and the Red Raiders have just four more practices to go until the Spring Game on March 26.

The Red Raiders completed a total of 130 plays in just over two hours of work this morning in front of a couple hundred loyal fans at Jones AT&T Stadium.

"I thought it was a good effort," said Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville. "We were much better offensively than we were on defense so it looks like they made a lot of progress last week. We will get back out here on Tuesday and then probably scrimmage again on Thursday before everyone leaves for Spring Break."

Cooler temperatures and sunny skies greeted the squad as they began their pre-practice drills around 10:30 a.m. Temperatures were ranging in the lower 40's but spiked to about 55 by the time the two and a half hour workout session was complete.

Offensively, Shawn Corker posted a big afternoon as he compiled 131 yards on seven catches and scored two touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Jacob Karam also turned in the best scrimmage performance of his young career as he threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns (no interceptions). Junior quarterback Seth Doege finished the day with 246 yards passing along with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Defensively, the Red Raiders compiled four interceptions and one safety in a solid performance. The unit dominated the first half of the day before the offense caught a spark at the midway point. Senior linebacker Sam Fehoko paced the unit with eight total tackles and an interception. D.J. Johnson, Russell Polk and Junior Osunde were credited with one interception each.

Texas Tech will hold its 11th practice of the spring at 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
