The first of four Red Raider Club Kickoff Luncheons begin on Aug. 16 in Lubbock.

The Texas Tech Football season will get an official kickoff with the annual Red Raider Club Lubbock Kickoff Luncheon on Aug. 16, followed by luncheons in Midland on Aug. 27, Dallas on Sept. 10 and Houston on Sept. 17.

The annual event serves as the first major celebration of Texas Tech football and will get underway at 11:15 a.m. on Aug. 16, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. Ticket prices for all four luncheons range from $30 for an individual Red Raider Club member ticket to $2,000 for the table with head coach Tommy Tuberville or athletics director Kirby Hocutt.

Head Coach Tommy Tuberville will give fans in attendance an in-depth look at this year's team as well as an introduction of players and staff at the Lubbock kickoff luncheon. Also on hand at the Lubbock luncheon will be the Goin' Band From Raiderland, Raider Red, Saddle Tramps and the Tech cheer and pom squads.

Tuberville will travel to Midland on Aug. 27 to give fans in the Permian Basin a status report one week from the season opener against Northwestern State. His trips to Dallas on Sept. 10 and Houston on Sept. 17 will provide fans the opportunity to hear the report card on the Red Raiders after the first games of the year.

This will mark the first time in recent history that Texas Tech has held kickoff luncheons in multiple cities across the state.
