"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"Leaving everything I've got on the field."

What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"Just putting on that red and black every gameday."

Is there a motto or a phrase you live by?
"If you don't grind, you don't shine."

What is your personal goal for this season?
"My personal goal is to at least have 1,000 yards."

Do you have any hidden talents?
"I can sing a little bit."

Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"On the field, I would say my coach, Coach Mainord. Off the field, I would say my mother."

What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"Just learning the system. Learning the plays and knowing what I am supposed to be doing."
