LUBBOCK, Texas - For the second time in program history, Texas Tech passed the 40,000 mark in season tickets sold as 41,080 have been purchased to date. The number, also a school record, eclipses the previous mark of 40,430 sold during the 2005 season.

Season tickets priced at $220 each still remain for the upcoming season in sections 117 and 121 on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium. Remaining tickets available on the west side in sections 9, 102 and 108 can be purchased for $300.

Single-game tickets are currently on sale for all home games with the exception of Texas. The Texas game ticket can be purchased as a "Mini-Pack" for $135, which includes one general admission Texas ticket and one reserved seat to Eastern Washington, SMU or Massachusetts games. Less than 80 "Mini-Packs" remain.

Texas Tech kicks off the 2008 season against Eastern Washington on August 30 at 6 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium. For season ticket information, contact the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office at (806) 742-TECH or (888) GO-BIG-12. Tickets also can be purchased through www.texastech.com.
