LUBBOCK, Texas - QB Graham Harrell, OG Louis Vasquez, DE Jake Ratliff and FS Darcel McBath were elected team captains for the 2008 football season in a vote by their Texas Tech teammates. The veteran group has a combined 101 starts with each having started since their sophomore seasons.

The captains were announced prior to Sunday night's practice, which concluded with each saying a few words to the team. The Red Raiders' workout was brief as the team will have Monday off, before resuming game week preparations Tuesday.
