RED RAIDERS HEAD WEST FOR FIRST ROAD TRIP OF THE 2011 SEASON
Fresh off its lone bye week of the 2011 season, the Red Raiders will head west to Albuquerque on Friday afternoon to begin preparations for a Saturday match-up against the New Mexico Lobos. The game at New Mexico will mark the first road trip of the season for the Red Raiders as they opened the year two weeks ago with a 50-10 win over Texas State at Jones AT&T Stadium. Saturday's game will mark the 43rd all-time meeting between the two schools which are separated by just 321 miles.
Saturday's game will be televised nationally by Versus and is available in Lubbock on Suddenlink, AT&T U-Verse and NTS Communications. Announcing the game for Versus will be Paul Burmeister (play-by-play), Shaun King (analyst) and Anthony Herron (sidelines).
Fans unable to catch the game on television can tune into the radio broadcast on the Texas Tech Sports Network. The Texas Tech Sports Network featuring Brian Jensen (play-by-play), John Harris (analyst) and Chris Level (sidelines) will have complete coverage beginning with the pregame show at 1:30 p.m. (CT).
