Junior quarterback Seth Doege became the fourth Texas Tech quarterback to win an AT&T National Player of the Week honor this evening as he was rewarded for his NCAA record breaking performance at New Mexico.

Doege established a new NCAA record for completion percentage in a game when he completed 40-of-44 passses (90.9%) at New Mexico last Saturday. Doege threw five touchdown passes (one more TD pass than incompletions) and ammassed 401 yards passing to help the Red Raiders to a 59-13 route of the Lobos.

Doege joins former Red Raiders, Michael Crabtree, Graham Harrell, Taylor Potts, Sonny Cumbie and Matt Williams as previous recipients of this national distinction.
