The Wildcats knocked off Louisiana-Lafayette in Manhattan, 45-37, last weekend.

The series began in 1933 with Texas Tech taking the initial game 6-0 in Lubbock, followed by wins in 1963 (51-13) and 1986 (41-7), also in Lubbock. The two teams met in the inaugural Big 12 Conference game in 1996, which began a run of three-straight wins for the Wildcats over the Red Raiders. K-State won in 1996 (21-14), 1997 (13-2) and 2000 (28-23).
