LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior quarterback Graham Harrell is one of 13 semifinalists for the prestigious Davey O' Brien Award that was announced yesterday afternoon by the Davey O'Brien Foundation.

Harrell, a senior signal caller from Ennis, has permanently etched his name in the Texas Tech record books as he is the school's all-time leading passer with 13,829 yards and ranks fourth on the NCAA's career passing list. Harrell also holds school records for career touchdown passes, career total offense and career touchdowns responsible for. Last season, he was named the Sammy Baugh Award winner which honors the nation's top collegiate quarterback.

Harrell is one of six quarterbacks in the Big 12 Conference to make the semifinalist list joining Oklahoma's Sam Bradford, Missouri's Chase Daniel, Texas' Colt McCoy, Kansas' Todd Reesing and Oklahoma State's Zac Robinson.

Saturday's game at Jones AT&T Stadium will feature two of the Davey O'Brien semifinalists in Harrell and Texas' Colt McCoy. The game will be televised nationally in primetime beginning at 7 p.m. and is sold out.
