LUBBOCK, Texas - Beginning Saturday the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award will launch an on-the-road campaign, visiting its 13 semifinalists' campuses. Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell is one of this week's featured candidates.

Harrell leads the country with 393.4 passing yards per game and has thrown 28 touchdown passes. He is the active career leader with 128 touchdowns responsible for and 117 passing scores. Harrell ranks fourth all-time on the NCAA career passing yardage list with 13,829 yards.

Fans who vote will be entered into the "Defend Your Pride. Vote The O'Brien Sweepstakes," for a chance to win a trip to the 2009 O'Brien Awards Dinner. Fans that are not able to cast a vote in person are encouraged to register and vote at www.VoteOBrien.org. Five percent of the Fan Vote will count in determining the Finalists and Winner.

College football enthusiasts and fans are encouraged to vote at The O'Brien display located in Raider Alley on Saturday. The display will open prior to kickoff and continue through the first half of the game. Finalists will be announced Nov. 24.
