LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore defensive standouts Lawrence Flugence (Klein, Texas) and Aaron Hunt (Denison, Texas) have both earned postseason All-Big 12 recognition.

Flugence, a first-year middle linebacker, was named to the second teams of the Dallas Morning News, The Sporting News and the Houston Chronicle. Hunt, a 1999 Freshman All-America pick, was named to The Sporting News' second-team.

Flugence led the Red Raiders and the Big 12 this season with 156 total tackles in 12 games. He recorded 10 tackles for loss and four sacks in his first season starting on defense. Hunt finished the season with 71 tackles and a team-leading eight sacks. He also had 11 tackles for loss and returned a fumble 63 yards for a score.
