SHREVEPORT, La. - The Texas Tech football team conducted its fourth and final since arriving in Shreveport in preparation for Thursday's Sanford Independence Bowl game against Ole Miss. Game time is 7:30 p.m. CT in Shreveport's Independence Stadium. ESPN will broadcast the game live.

Texas Tech (7-4) went through a one-hour pre-game walk-through at Independence Stadium. The session will be the last time the team will meet before kickoff.

"We are ready for tomorrow's game," Texas Tech head coach Spike Dykes said. "The guys have been working hard all week and we're ready to play. I think we're going to be ready to play tomorrow. It was also good to get on the stadium field for the first time to get used to the setting."

Prior to completing its pre-game walk-through, Texas Tech players, coaches and staff attended the Office Depot Minuteman Luncheon. The luncheon, held at Shreveport's Expo Hall, featured television appearances from former Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz and football commentator Craig James. Both coaches also gave short presentations.

Seniors Montae Reagor and Donnie Hart along with head coach Spike Dykes were featured at a press conference held at Expo Hall before the luncheon.

Coaches and university personnel from both schools also attended a mandatory NCAA meeting in the morning to discuss various game activities.

Tickets are still available for the Sanford Independence Bowl game. Tickets will be available from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday (the day of the game) at Texas Tech's ticket headquarters. Please contact Texas Tech ticket representatives at (318) 797-9900 ext. 150 to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be sold at the door beginning at 4 p.m. at Independence Stadium. The tickets are $30 and $25.

"We extend our appreciation to the Sanford Independence Bowl for letting us sell our allotment of tickets at the game," Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers said. "Hopefully, fans will take advantage of this opportunity to buy tickets and attend the game. We look forward to a great game."

Wednesday night, fans, coaches and staff members will attend the Newell Mardi Gras Preview and pep rally held at Expo Hall. The party will feature both school's cheerleaders and bands, live entertainment and dancing.
