Red Raiders Slip To 13th After Round Two In Hawaii

No. 33 Texas Tech slipped from seventh place to 13th following completion of the second round of the 33rd Annual Ameri Ari in Kona, Hawaii.
The Red Raiders, who fired a 4-under first round on Wednesday, shot 6-over par today and currently stand at 2-over, 294 with the third and final round scheduled for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Friday morning.
Sophomore Clement Sordet continues to pace the Red Raiders as he stands tied for 23rd overall at 2-under, 142. Soret fired a 2-over, 74 in the second round and is tied with Yi Keun Chang of USC.
Redshirt freshman Nathan Weant shot even par in the second round to move up to a tie for 45th and rounds out the individuals for Texas Tech in the top 50.
TCU, who got out to a big lead after round one, fell to a tie for sixth place while Washington took over the tournament lead at 21-under, 555. UCLA and Texas round out the top three.
