KONA, Hawaii -- Texas Tech junior Matias Dominguez fired a 3-under par 69 on Friday along with teammate Clement Sordet to lead the Red Raiders to a 6-under 282 team total in the second round of the Amer Ari Invitational at the Waikoloa Kings Course.

Tech moved into 12th place with a 16-under 560 total through two rounds. The Red Raiders trail leader No. 3 Oklahoma State by 12 strokes and are within seven strokes of the top five.

Dominguez finished with six birdies, three bogeys and nine pars on the day. He birdied two of his last three holes to finish the second round in a tie for 18th.

Sordet finished with five birdies and two bogeys. He was 3-under on the second nine without a bogey.

First day team leader Esteban Restrepo finished with a 1-over 73 while Henry Todd ended his second round 1-under (71) and birdied two of his last three holes.
