Weworski Paces Tech To Lead At UTSA/Oak Hills Invite|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Behind the stellar play of junior Tyler Weworksi, the No. 20 Texas Tech men's golf team posted scores of 273 and 277 in two rounds of play a the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational on Monday and will take an eight stroke lead into Tuesday's third and final round.
With a tournament field consisting of four Big 12 foes, the Red Raiders posted an 18-under 550 through the first two rounds and hold an eight stroke lead over a North Texas team that ended the day 10-under 558. Tulsa and Oklahoma stand in a tie for third place after finishing 4-under 564.
For the second straight week, the big story for Texas Tech is junior Tyler Weworski who finds himself atop the leader board at 8-under 134. Weworski fired identical rounds of 67 on the first day of the tournament and holds a one stroke lead over Oklahoma's Riley Pumphrey (7-under 135). Just one week after posting a career-best fourth place finish at the Ameri Ari Invitation in Hawai'i, Weworski will be in search of his first career tournament win in tomorrow's final round.
Chandler Rusk, Nils Floren and Will Griffin all finished in the top 10 with Rusk finishing in fifth place at 4-under 138. Senior Nils Floren is in a tie for seventh at 2-under 140 while fellow senior Will Griffin is tied for ninth at 1-under 141.
If the Red Raiders can hold on to their lead through tomorrow's third and final round, it will give Texas Tech three consecutive championships at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational. The Red Raiders claimed the tournament team title in both 2009 and 2010.
