LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team concluded competition today at the annual Bridges All-American Tournament in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The Southern Mississippi tournament saw just two rounds of play due to rain at the Bridges Golf Resort at Casino Magic, with Southeastern Louisiana claiming the team title. Texas Tech finished in 18th at the event.

The tournament was shortened from 54 to 36 holes on the par 72 course when Monday's second round was cut by mid-afternoon thunderstorms. The Red Raiders rounded out the 18-team field after both days, as junior Philip Tate lead the team, finishing tied for 38th with rounds of 73 and 79 respectively. Senior Tom Baldwin took Tech's second scoring spot, firing a two-round total of 158.

The Southeastern Louisiana squad jumped into the lead in Tuesday's second and final round, shooting a tournament team total of 574. Minnesota's Rob Kerr carded an even par 72 in the second round and finished with a two-day three-under-par 141 total to earn individual medalist honors.

Texas Tech heads to the UT-San Antonio Invitational on Monday for a two-day tournament held at La Cantera Golf Course in San Antonio.
