Men's Golf Slips To Third After Final Round Of Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate
 


Ewing earns his second Top 5 finish this week.

No. 35 Texas Tech was unable to keep its momentum heading into the final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate as the Red Raiders slipped to a tie for third place following a 10-over par performance on Sunday.

Texas Tech was in second after round two on Saturday but slipped to a tied for third with San Francisco behind tournament champion TCU and St. Mary's.

Senior Finley Ewing IV capped of a stellar week in Palm Springs as he earned his second straight Top 5 finish. Ewing, who finished fifth at the Prestige at PGA West earlier this week, ended the tournament in third place behind TCU's Julien Brun and Eli Cole. Ewing fired a 2-over, 74 in today's final round but ended the tournament at 3-under, 213.

Sophomore Clement Sordet, who was tied for first overall after round one, finished in a tied for 11th place at 1-over, 217. Sordet logged a 2-over, 74 in today's final round.

Sophomore Esteban Restrepo tied for 22nd overall at 4-over, 220. Matias Dominguez, who played in this tournament as an individual only, finished tied for 16th at 2-over, 218.

Texas Tech will enjoy a two-week break before returning to action at the San Diego Classic (March 11-12) in San Diego, Calif.
