Texas Tech will have some ground to cover in Tuesday's final round in order to take home the team title at the 2013 Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club.

The Red Raiders will enter Tuesday's final round in a tie for third place and 12 strokes behind tournament leader San Diego State. No. 19 TCU stands in second place while Tech is tied with No. 49 Arizona State.

At 9-over par, the Red Raiders carded a combined team score of 586 through the first two rounds. Co-tournament host San Diego State fired a 4-under, 574 to lead the field after the first day of play.

Finley Ewing IV's hot play has continued in San Diego as he is currently tied for third place overall at 2-under, 142. Ewing fired a 2-under, 70 in the first round and shot even par in round two to secure a four-way tie for third.
