Finley Ewing IV logged his third straight top-five finish and his fifth of the season to lead No. 26 Texas Tech to a fourth place finish at the 2013 Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club.

Ewing's hot play began in February at The Prestige at PGA West where he logged a fifth place finish and just days later he secured third place at the Wyoming Desert Invitational. Ewing fired a 1-under, 71 in today's final round to finish the tournament in a tie for third place at 4-under, 212. His three-straight Top 5 finishes is the longest such streak of his career.

As a team the Red Raiders, shaved 11 strokes off their second round score but it was not enough to overtake tournament champion San Diego State (even par, 864), TCU (3-over, 867) and Arizona State (3-over, 867), who tied for second place. Tech finished the three-round tournament at 8-over, 872.

Sophomore Esteban Restrepo carded his second Top 15 finish of the season as he tied for 13th at 3-over, 219. Sophomore Clement Sordet finished tied for 25th at 6-over, 222.

The Red Raiders will return to action March 25-26 at the Memphis Intercollegiate.
