LUBBOCK, Texas - Behind freshman Sergio Franky's one-under 71 and Will Griffin's even-par 72, No. 19 Texas Tech carded a nine-over 297 to move up two spots to an eighth-place tie Saturday at the talent-laden Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga. Final play was suspended late due to inclement weather.
Round two results are not completely final as the final group was at the tee box of the 18th hole when play was called. As it stands, No. 30 Mississippi is currently in the lead at seven-under 569. No. 17 Tennessee-Chattanooga and top-ranked Georgia are six strokes back in a tie for second at one-under 575. Georgia State (577) is in fourth place, followed by Eastern Michigan (585), Kennesaw State (586), Tech and Clemson (593).
