Red Raiders Stand In Sixth After First Two Rounds In Austin
March 16, 2012 The 43rd-ranked Texas Tech Men's Golf team will enter the final round of the 46th Annual Morris Williams Intercollegiate in sixth place after shooting 13-over 581 today at the UT Golf Club in Austin. The first day of action included two rounds and 36 holes of play as Texas Tech fired a team score of 289 in the first round and 292 in the second. On the player leaderboard, Finley Ewing IV and Chandler Rusk are part of a four-way tie for 14th at even par. Logan McCracken, who finished fifth last week at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas, is tied for 24th at 3-over 145. The Red Raiders will have their work cut out for him them if they hope for a top five finish in this tournament as No. 1 Texas leads the field at 7-under 561 while New Mexico is six strokes back in second place at 1-under 567.
